TL;DR:
Adrian is what is known as a "Caoul", which is effectively a Gryphon in "Earth" terms that has the ability to take on a human form and speak. He is a Dancer, Escort, and generally sexually-aligned worker who entertains in varying ways including sexual acts as well as song and dance. He is rather quiet and sometimes a bit timid outside of work, and more confident when working, but isn't a pushover. His past deals with themes of abuse and trauma, but both things are highly unlikely to be brought up in threads.

Adrian is a calm, patient, and kind individual who hates to see others suffer and will do all he can to prevent another from experiencing the hardships he himself faced in his younger years; which ranged from abuse to slavery. If there's something he can do, he will try his best to keep the smile on someone else's face, because if someone is smiling then it means he's doing his job to entertain and make others smile. To him, even a simple compliment can mean a lot if someone smiles because of it. This patient nature also leads him to be somewhat mean in his work with a client, having the patience to not give into demands.

While he can be quiet and sometimes timid due to his past, Adrian can also be incredibly stubborn in the face of something that he feels is Wrong and will not back down in standing up to or for someone. Especially to his co-workers, some of whom can be incredibly cruel to others out of jealousy. Adrian is no stranger to the bullying and cruel acts and words, but over the years of working with them, he no longer stands by and lets their words get to him; although he has in his earlier years living with Varesh and Artana. There are times he second-guesses himself on whether or not he should stand up for himself, but when it comes to others that don't deserve it, he won't think twice.

Coming from a family known for its performers, Adrian takes a great deal of pride in his dancing and singing, and his confidence is strongest when singing or dancing, as well as during his sex work. It's something he knows and can do, so he'll take pride in his skills. He also, on occasion, can be somewhat vain over his appearance, especially when he's out to impress or please a client.

History

Early Years: Adrian was born to a lower, yet well-known, old family in nobility known for their skills in the performing arts; with Adrian being no exception and finding his love in both song as well as dance, and trained in those areas. He, along with his elder and younger sisters, would end up complimenting the other with their voices and often perform together, or his sisters would sing while he would dance to their songs.

Enslaved Years: Around the age of 110, Adrian would be kidnapped on his way to the city of Spixia with his family, waking alone and forced into working for a cruel woman named Tehisa. Initially his position in her household was favourable, earning him special treatment and privileges so long as he didn't screw up too much, though this was double-edged in that the smallest mistakes others made were punished harshly while theirs were not. He would later fall from Tehisa's favour after repeatedly turning down sexual advances from her, and forced back into terrible conditions, yet still punished harshly for mistakes, having earned Tehisa's wrath.

Rescue/Recovery Years: Around a century later, though he is unsure of how much time passed, Adrian would be "sold" to Artana and Varesh Lightsong, a pair of dragons who had heard about a Caoul forced to work under horrible conditions. This wasn't to force him to work, but instead to rescue him from terrible conditions, something Adrian would feel indebted to them for. It would take years before he could or would trust them, but with the help of two others the dragons had adopted, a kitsune named Sora and a lion shifter named Eliena, Adrian would warm up to them. He ended up forming a strong younger brother and older sibling bond with the duo and eventually would smile freely again with their help. Adrian would also go on to take on the surname of Lightsong to show his gratitude, as well as finding that the four became family to him, though he would always do what he could to find answers about his birth family.

Tavern Years: Feeling like he needed to repay Varesh and Artana for their kindness, despite repeated reminders that he did not need to, Adrian began working at the tavern they owned known as the Lyrical Sun. At first, he was just one of the waitstaff until he watched the performances of both Sora and Eliena, remembering that he was also a performer before having lived the life he did before Varesh and Artana saved him, and became one of the main Dancers of the tavern as well as singing on occasion under the name and rank of "Aquarius". Though optional, Adrian would later learn that the tavern offered sexual services, and after reassurances from both Sora and Eliena that he would be okay and that his and the other workers safety came first, he began doing that as well. He would learn that taking part in the sexual side of his work would help get him more information from people, and could do so in a more flirtatious way. This would also come to help up his confidence, as well as become a favoured worker, though this also would get him bullied a bit by a pair of twins going by Gemini. Despite their bullying, Adrian didn't back down in his work, there were answers to be obtained and he found he quite liked the distraction of sex.

Travel Years: After a while, Adrian had found some answers regarding his family, and took some time to leave Whitbay and the tavern and travel. In the process, Adrian would come to meet a traveling merchant by the name of Elias, forming a close friendship with him and in the process develop feelings for the other man. Though unfortunately, Adrian was oblivious to this and didn't understand romantic love much at all, missing his chance to say anything. However, the two would travel for a time until parting ways and keeping in contact until Adrian would learn the man died at sea five years later, which caused him to return to Whitbay to grieve properly since that was Elias's next port of call. He had also obtained necessary information about his family, as well.

Return & Spixia: After having obtained more answers, as well as a contact in Spixia, Adrian returned to Whitbay to ask Sora to go with him to Spixia as he did not want to make the journey alone for fear of being caught by Tehisa or her goons. The duo set out, arriving in Spixia months later, where Adrian would come to learn that while his sisters were still alive and safe in Spixia, their mother and father had been killed during the kidnapping to protect them. Both upset by the news of his parents' deaths, and overjoyed by his sisters still being alive, Adrian as well as Sora remained in Spixia for some time before Adrian began feeling like he didn't really belong there in Spixia. His sisters caught on to this when he said he would stay for them because they were family, but reassured him that they still loved him and saw how much his new family had meant to him, and promised to keep in touch and attend his performances whenever they were in Whitbay. After another month, Adrian and Sora returned to Whitbay.
